Indian Solo Pan Saddle

There is a continuing misunderstanding on the identity of the dual seat pans of the Harley Buddy seat and the Indian Chum-ee dual seat pan.

Overall the pans are quite similar, probably stamped out by the same supplier,but having a number of minor differences as folows:

All stamped depressions of the Chum-ee were in a straight line. On the Buddy pan front two and rear outside two depression lines are curved.

Buddy seats came out in 1932.Chum-ee seats started in 1947. Chum-ee seats were only made for a few years then Indian went to a boxspring type of dual seat during the last few years of Indian's production.
